Devotees come to Shaheed Baba Nihal Singh Gurdwara in Talhan village near Jalandhar on NH-1 to offer toy aircrafts in hope that it will fulfill their wish of going abroad. In case you can’t locate the gurdwara, all you have to ask for is ‘Hawai Jahaz Gurdwara’ and you’ll be promptly guided to it.

Making clock offerings is not exclusive to Brahma Baba. At a dargah dedicated to Nau Gaja Peer -- nine yards holy man on GT Road, near Kalyana village between Ambala and Kurukshetra in Haryana, devotees, especially truck drivers, offer clocks at the shrine to ensure a safe journey and a timely arrival. better known as the “highway god”. Locals say that Syed Ibrahim Badshah, or Baba Naugaja Peer was 9 ft tall. Perhaps that explains the very long grave at the site.

At the Om Banna temple, the presiding deity is a Royal Enfield Bullet bike. It is located along NH 65 in Pali district. People stop at the temple to pray for a safe journey. In 1988, a local villager Om Singh Rathore died in an accident on the highway. The police took away his bike to the police station. But the next morning, It was found at the accident spot instead. This continued after every attempt to move the bike from there.

Located in Kolkata’s Tangra area, the Kali Temple was built by Chinese devotees. Chinese people of Indian origin visit this shrine. Though they are mostly Buddhists, they have faith in Goddess Kali. Bhog offered to the goddess includes noodles, fried rice and chop suey.
