Lord Krishna with a gentle laugh tried to console her by saying that he indeed cautioned Duryodhana, and his brothers of the destruction. This even ranged her more and she cursed him saying, “If my years of Vishnu Bhakthi have been true, and if my Pathi Bhakthi since my marriage has been unshaken and strong, then, may you die in 36 years from today.”

Next day, Sambha complained of intense abdominal pain and Lord Krishna was informed. When he and Balrama came in to see him, they saw a large piece of iron mace kept next to Sambha. The latter and his friends then informed every one of the Sapt Rishis’ curse. Akroora and Ugrasena immediately ordered the mace to be crushed to powder and cast into Prabhas River. All, but one triangular piece of the maze was crushed and thrown into the river.

The powder deposited near the bank and led to the growth of plush grass. However, the left out metal piece was later swallowed by a fish, which was hunted by the fisherman nearby. He cooked the fish and while eating, found the big triangular iron piece. In order to reshape his harpoon, he used the same piece.

One day all the men of the Yadava clan gathered on the banks of Prabhas River for a merry night. They drank all night and got intoxicated. Satyaki and Krithavarma, who were also present and highly intoxicated, started fighting over the acts of each other during Mahabharata war. All the men were divided into two groups- Satyaki’s and Krithavarma’s. They began pouncing on each other, and soon a war ensued.

Lord Krishna was nearby and knew the time had come, so the discreetly plucked the plush grass and threw it amid the fighting men. One by one everyone was killed.
